SEITAN BALL SAUCE FOR PASTA

Ingredients

    Boulettes

    • 120 g of seitan, mixed
    • 1/4 clove of garlic, finely chopped
    • 2.5 ml (1/2 tsp) of Moutarde de Dijon
    • 1 ml (1/4 c. Paprika
    • 1 pinch of Italian spices
    • salt and pepper
    • 2.5 ml (1/2 tsp) of canola oil

    Sauce

    • 250 ml (1 cup) of canned tomatoes, crushed
    • 1/4 onion, chopped
    • 1/4 clove of garlic, finely chopped
    • 1 pinch of cayenne pepper
    • fresh basil

    Pâtes

    • 125 ml (½ cup) of spaghetti baked with whole wheat


    Steps

    1 - In a bowl, mix all the ingredients of the dumplings except the oil. Shaping beautiful balls with your hands.


    2 - Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and brown the dumplings for a few minutes. Remove And reserve on a plate covered with absorbent paper.


    3 - add all the ingredients of the sauce in the pan. Simmer over medium heat for about 20 minutes. Meanwhile, cook the pasta of your choice by following The indications on the packaging.


    4 - Pour the sauce on the pasta and place the dumplings. Garnish with basil.


    5 - Serve with a beautiful green salad.
